West Wyrwood Shire, 1817: The Napoleonic Wars are over, and life for the well-to-do families in the countryside has returned to normal. People compete for influence, recognition, and the most advantageous matches of the season. Young hearts hope for true love (or at least a promising future). Experienced souls try to gently steer their charges in the right (?) direction while simultaneously avoiding the reopening of long-forgotten wounds. Two old houses are at the center of it all: rivals since the Wars of the Roses, whose feud continues to this day. As the ladies and gentlemen flock to balls, picnics, and tea parties, old alliances are rekindled, new hopes arise, and all the small and grand dramas unfold.
Social Season: Two Households Both Alike In Dignity is a larp about pride, passion and poetry, but also social pressures and tragic entanglements. The game is inspired by the works of Jane Austen and numerous modern adaptations and variations.
New: Taking place in not one, but two beautiful manor houses!

Social Season: Two Households Both Alike In Dignity is not meant to be a historical simulation or even a mixture of reenactment and larp, but a larp inspired by a historical era. So it's not about an exact recreation of this time, but about the playful experience.
The focus is on drama, passion, intrigue and the conflict-ridden clash of different personalities.
We want to give a rough feel for the era, but it should feel more like you are taking part in a dramatic romantic television series than time travel.
Experience
An immersive experience like Social Season needs some rules to ensure the safety of everyone involved and to provide a great larp experience for all participants. We therefore have a set of rules and mechanics to protect the physical safety and emotional safety of our participants.
Additionally, we don’t tolerate any form of off-game discrimination, may it be due to sexuality, appearance, heritage, gender, ability, or anything the like.
Safety
A kingdom that had just emerged from a long war against the powerful Napoleon, a king who loses his mind and great impoverishment among the common population - actually not the best conditions for dreamy stories. And yet the Regency era, a period at the beginning of the 19th century in England, is still closely associated with romantic literature and and fancy balls, strict social rules and complicated interpersonal relationships.
